A separate focus of the conference was on our country’s European integration and the impact of the war on the media landscape.
During the presentations and discussions, conference participants addressed a number of pressing issues, including: key trends in the development of new media in Ukraine and Europe; the ethics of war reporting; ensuring the impartiality of European media; the role of Telegram channels in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, given their strategic importance in disseminating information and countering disinformation; the portrayal of Ukrainian refugees in European online media, based on research into how media discourse constructs social categorization and shapes public perception during humanitarian crises; the impact of disinformation on elections in European countries; Chinese influence on European narratives; and more.
